What are your pup's favourite toys?

Oh, but Michele - he might love it even more for that reason! Anything especially slobbery or used, Duncan loves to cuddle. I think he is comforted by the scent. He also loves anything that smells like me or my DH.

You think? Dang it looks ugly already.I was going to throw the silly thing in the laundry maybe that week we bring Trapp home,so it will be somewhat 'refreshed" for a fresh time of tugging. If only ya'll could see his Scoobie Dog he has sucked on now for almost 6 years..

I am embarressed when he drags it out,if company should be here.Cause he don't care who's here for what..if its time to be pacified,Scooby Doo makes his entrance.

I've got a rubber chicken that looks just like that! I've scrubbed and washed it many times, but it still looks dirty! Oh, well! They are dirty boys! While we don't like to see them sucking on dirty things, their systems seem to be totally immune!

I wonder how the human body would react to eating poop like our pups do! (OK! I know that's gross, but I just had to ask...?!:rolleyes2: I think sometimes we let our human sensitivities take over what is right and wrong in the dog world. e.g. A mother dog will eat her pup's feces. I KNOW I never even considered that when my human kids were babies! Blech!

Phebe's favorite 'toy' is Tabitha the tiny black cat from next door. If she can't have Tab, she settles for a giant knotted rope that has a big hard rubber ball in the middle. I forgot that toy was even in the house and she found it in the guest bedroom about the second day she was here. It must weigh about a lb., but even when she weighed less than 10 lbs, she was dragging it around.

Any plush toy works for Gavin

He only loves on them, licks them, etc so we have no need for new ones :(
I hate the idea of getting rid of perfectly good dog toys but buying new ones is fun! But he loves his turtle, squirrely, pinkie (pink flamingo), snowie (2 stuffed snowmen heads that came with clearance christmas stockings of toys), and birdie (yellow bird that had an arm amputated by a visiting pup).

When he wants to play he brings them inside 1 by 1, from the balcony where I try and keep them, and drops them at my feet. He plays light tug and fetch with them.

Glad they liked the "Skinz". They are awesome.Earnhardt loves his.He has an over sized one we got recently from Foster & Smith. I'm not sure if Trapp will be fond of Earnhardts at the moment..cause Earnhardt has been caught using it as a new "pacifier"

Oh well, the boys practically have it destroyed in just one weekend. It had "squeeks" at each end. Well, they punctured one squeek within an hour. Then we left the poor thing outside overnight. Morning dew and leftover dog saliva made the thing soggy and crusty at the same time. It looked like it had been around the house for months instead of just one night!

Brought it up to the cottage and the boys still love it, though I gave my Dad a moment.....My parents came up for the weekend, and I'd given the boys the squirrel. All my Dad say was the pups playing tug of war with what looked like a dead squirrel. I'm still laughing at Dad's initial reaction. Fortunately, I was there, else I can imagine Dad chasing the dogs to get the "dead thing" out of their mouths!

Oh gosh Barb, that is just to funny!
Yea I can see where it would look like a dead animal,if it got all soggy & wet. did yours come with extra squeakers? The one we ordered for Earnhardt came with 2 extras. He loves squeaky toys.

We picked up an Easter chick after the holiday for him.He still loves that thing. It says "Happy Easter" if you squeeze the foot of the chick. Even though it is a stuffed toy you would normally put in an Easter basket,he has learned what foot to squeak.

Off the subject of toys..Just a few minutes ago,I was inthe living room with Earnhardt, Brian was on the puter, and Earnhardt does an amazing imitation of Stevie Wonder...

If you scratch his chest, and go side to side scratching..he will swing his head side to side. All he needs is sun glasses.:rolleyes2:

I'll have to get him on video~

Ok - music going through my head, I've got a visual. You must get that on video!!!!

Keely (6 months) loves chasing bubbles. I could blow them for an hour and she would keep on going! She jumps up and tries to mite them. I get the non-toxic kind and she goes nuts. I usually only do it for 10 minutes or so. We don't need the "runs"!!! But she does love them
