When it rains, it pours

I totally understand Caro! I love my dogs and they keep me so busy I don't even think about finding a partner and my mom (who's 90 and lives with me) would find it difficult to feed them with all the supplements they get and who gets what and how much etc.
We're fortunate here that we have quite a number of dehydrated raw foods that I could always use (and have at times) in a pinch but if you don't have those options it would be quite difficult!

Caro, do you have access to the freeze-dried foods we have here like Stella and Chewy's or Dr. Harvey's pre-mixes? Those might be an answer for you when you can't feed them yourself. Is there anything we can ship you here from the states to have for emergencies if you can't get it there?

We've got a very limited range of dog foods here, nothing like what you have. May have something to do with the restrictive import laws. But I will see if I can import some Wellness Simple, seeing as it used to be available here. Atm everything on the shelves is grain free.

Knackered yesterday but definitely a bit perkier today. No grass eating but she did have diarrhea - I'm hoping the latter was just the remnants of the meds and pancreatitis. Got her on chicken and pumpkin until we see the specialist, but boy her breath smells. I've been brushing but she needs a chewy piece of meat to gnaw on.

You know, I used to cook Kangaroo and vegs for the dogs and they did fine on that, it was only when Deska developed skin issues that the vets were getting me to try different diets. Now of course I know the skin was due to malabsorption from IBD (and didn't I keep telling the vets I thought it was malabsorption). Anyway, wondering if I should just put Tully back on her old diet, as much as I hate cooking roo - it stinks to high heaven.

The things we do for the love of a dog...I've boiled liver (for treats), heart...phewy that stuff smells (even raw), cut up kidney (gross), and the raw mix I make for them is quite...well...disgusting (but they love it). I think I spend more time making things for them than I do baking for us:ROFLMAO:...my mom will say 'oh something smells good'...dog cookies lol!

Check her teeth, too - when Brooke's breath is bad it's because a tooth has gone bad.... not that she has many left now, but in the past. Poor Tully. I hope you can figure out a diet for her Caro. If the roo and veg worked before, I imagine it would be OK.

Just had both dogs' teeth cleaned in October, mainly because I wanted an abdominal scan done because Deska kept getting tummy upsets. That turned out to be a waste, it didn't pick up the cancer. I do hope she hasn't developed a tooth issue, can't afford it.

I rang the pet ins company yesterday, peeved off and in tears. They're sending letter after letter asking for more test results and haven't paid a single cent on Deska's claim. I don't see what the issue is - he was under the care of 3 specialists and he died, so there is no doubt he was sick! Anyway, they say now they'll pay it out by the end of the week. Been extending my mortgage to pay all the vet bills, now I can get to the dentist and Tully back to the specialist.
