A continuing Sca-ga

Oh she would never hurt them but would she call police/animal control and then hide :yes:. As far as I know she never did complain about the basset hound to the owner just me :rolleyes2: Oh and I think my neighbors understand that messing with the crazy guy's dog or bikes would be a BIG mistake. Double for the dog.

We definitely need to get him a bit calmer since I am a bad influence (we play 3-4 hours a night). On the weekends I can semi-wear his furry butt out but in the week it is usually not until I am ready for bed that he winds down. But then there is the we neeeeed to play :o

He is a jumping fool which worries me a bit based on what I read in the agility books :( but he pretty much jumps for no reason.

Google dog collar id. They make a collar with ur dogs name and number embrodied on it. Then he wont have to wear tags.
 
So tonight was an adventure. I cooked a turkey while Sca helped, well he really just played until carving time. Then it was all about a few scraps :biggrin2: He really likes turkey. I also noticed he has a small amount of fringe on his belly now. Getting his big dog fur :cool:

Ember is a chewer of tags. Nothing I've done has stopped her. She chewed up her rabies tag 3 x. I have a small clip for them when I go to a show or on a outing but if I'm not watching I take them off. Generally however I don't have collars on in the house and I have to take them off the collar for obedience and agilty training so the clip works great..
 
The laws in your town determine whether the pup truly must wear the license and rabies tag. Here we have a leash law, dogs running free SHALL be picked up immediately (why don't they do that with all the feral cats!:uhoh:) and placed in the pound. They do not have to wear their ID, license or rabies but if you want to be called and when you pick them up, you have to prove they have paperwork.

I probably "mother" my pups a bit. MMM doesn't ever wear a collar indoors. I have a collar for when he is the yard (this one has just his name and phone #) and then one for walking in town (has full regalia).

He doesn't need his rabies and license when he's running around your yard. If you walk him, just keep his rabies and license in your pocket, just in case you run into a cop that asks for it. Unless, your state has a law that your dog must wear them at all times.

OR have two collars. Use the ID embroider collar when he's in your home and yard. Have another collar with his rabies and license for when you walk him or take him somewhere.
 
I think he might officially be a giant now. The tape measure is still EVIL (RUN AWAY!) but I think he is 16" now and a bit over 5 months. So I figure he will get to maybe 17".

For short one Wellness square sessions his tricks are getting better. He sits well still, shakes at about 50%. His look is tough since he alternates between my hand and eyes if he thinks I have food. I think the clicker is starting to click :lol:, though now I have to hide it or he will steal it and run with it. I changed lie to down and it seems to be working much better :confused2: Of course anything that involves a lack of motion :rolleyes2: Even the whole massage thing is lost on him as he thinks he is a perpetual motion machine
 
I officially matter :cool: We went to Mom and Dad's tonight to get more ice (my ice maker is broke and someone needed ice. Well on the way out I had the ice bag and some empty milk jugs for recycling oil and handed his leash to Mom while I carried those. I went to the door and he watched but once out he cried a bit until I came back. He missed his sheep, of course back at home he has gone back to monster mode :lol:

Oh and I knew we were in trouble as soon I got to the door. The Christmas tree was up with all those fascinating tasty ornaments :uhoh: He grabbed a Santa 3 times.

Now if he could just learn stairs...
