Bad news about Hadley from Austin

Forgot to add that Maggie was a little live wire as a puppy, and is not a cuddler unless it is in bed. She will lay next to me on the sofa or floor but is a bit independent most of the time.
 
thank you for all those pics. those are precious babies and most of us can only live it via pics...
they look like such a typical sheltie babies to me... I wonder at which point one might start noticing difference if they have non sheltie father? I have seen pics on petfinder of mixed babies, one can say right away it is not a full sheltie but of course those are slightly older...
 
god those little feets really are toooooo cute!
Wouldn't it be gret if one of us... could take one of those little babies...? Somebody let's say in the same State? Just sayin'
I love those stories... and cannot wait to see more pics.. lol
How cool that the obedience school will help, make sos much sense :)

I haven't been as close as those raising the litter but we could tell Ember was going to be a tough pup at around 4 wks. She was standoffish, and independent already. My friend said she would need an experience home and she did. I cringed to think of a first time dog owner getting Ember.

Same with Diva, I really noticed the differences in the pups when I visited after 4 wks. At 3 wks there were sublte differences but I wasn't sure what They were really like.
 
Little personalities don't really even start to show up until the eyes and ears open at ~2 weeks of age...and even then they are just wobbly and bobbly....sometime between week 3 and 4 a little light bulb goes on and all of a sudden they are UP AND GOING little furry tonka trucks zooming around and it just boosts upward from there.

that's when I LOVE the puppy webcams, LOL Sheltie TV at its finest..
or when Granite takes em out for the first time, and stickboy gets told off by Newton, or he herds them all... all too adorable!

Hm, I think (aside from colors and, of course, size) most puppies of any breed look pretty much alike until they're up and about (four weeks or so).

But if the options for the sire are between the Yorkie and the Sheltie, my money's on the Sheltie. These are all high-white-factored puppies, and I would guess that a Yorkie-cross would have less white. Just my guess.
 
I think that person is thinking about it.....LOL Read all the post and you will see that some one is looking for a little brother!!!
