Big Boy?

I have been told that different "lines" stop growing at different times. If I remember right, both our boys were short term growers..(lol).. It would be interesting to ask Zak's breeder if she can guesstimate at what age he will likely stop growing. Our Baron is 16 1/4...at last check by his breeder which was almost 2 years ago...he just turned 3. Next time we go see her, I'll try to remember and ask her to measure him with that special thing they use..(the name escapes me!).. Kinda fun to compare our furkids, isn't it ;-)..

Our big girl, Mega Meggie 20 inches and 38 lbs and the vet says she is just right.

Meggie is beautiful. I love your video. Have to ask who sings that song?? Geesh...is it just me, but videos like this bring tears to my eyes...there is SUCH beauty in these furkids! My favorite shots are the action shots..especially the one where Meggie is jumping up facing the camera...GREAT shot!

Wow!

Meggie is so beutiful! Thank You for posting that. Again I am really hoping that Judah busts the Chart. We would like him to be significantly bigger than our Main Coon Cat Sebastian.

Is it possible for him t be growing at 5 months? No, it can't be.

okay,

this is all reat info for me.

So lets see if this is a valid question. Can a breeder or a vet or SOMEONE tell when the litter is born or atleast 6 weeks who is gonna be really big or small? Or is it just a gamble?

I'm not saying that my husband will ever, ever let me have 2 Shelties and 2 cats BUT if I were to get another Sheltie I would want another Big one. Any ideas? I mean, I love his temperment. I know his breeder did indeed breed for that. As far as she know he is the biggest one ever out of 12 years. Most of his relatives are show dogs. I don't want a show dog.

So, whatcha got?

My breeder pretty much decides where they will be at 6 weeks if they are over in a certian weight and Zak was over in weight but she did not make her finale decisoin on which whe was parting with till the week we wnt to get him.
There were four in the litter and one was a female and 3 males, one was a larger male Zak and the middle boy and the smaller boy.
She kept the middle boy so we had to figure out which one of the other two we wanted. We went with Zak because of his size and now they all are the same in height. So we will see how he ends up.
He has really been the perfect match.

you cant really tell when they are born my largest pup at birth is now the smallest pup and the smallest one at birth is now in the middle for size.
