Blaze or No Blaze

Oddly enough Piper's blaze didn't change too much...it got narrower but it still looks almost the same as when he was a puppy while Finnie's narrowed to a pencil thin line.
Piper is still my favorite (shh...don't tell Finnie lol)

Wow, Finnie has sure matured! What a coat! I wish Liam’s was so lush! Must be that Canadian weather!:ROFLMAO:

Finnie's mane is thick and lush but the rest of his coat is still short! You'd think the cold would give them a thick coat faster! Piper had a very thick coat by the time he was a year old, much better than Finnie's plus Piper never blew his coat...you just never know!

It's true when they say Shelties don't get their adult coats until 3 years old. Piper was a mousy brown but by the time he turned 3 his coat turned so dark to be almost black (his sire was tri-factored)...I much prefer Piper's look (mahogany sable) over Finnie's much lighter colouring.

Piper is so adorable as a puppy!!! Theyre both bueautiful

In 1990 I was looking for a collie. Went to a dog show and stopped dead as I first walked in and saw Sunny. I asked if he was for sale and the breeder said no but she was going to contact when she got puppies.

She then lost my business card and found it again a year later. She called me up and had a male puppy from him. I raced over that Friday night. While I was on the floor on my back with the puppy on my chest playing with him I noticed all the Shelties in their crates.

When the play time was over with the puppy and he went back to feed with mom, I asked f the other dogs could come it to play. She explained that many folks get overwhelmed with a bunch of Shelties running around. I told her I would not mind in the least! As she opened crate after crate I was surrounded by Shelties zooming by me a breakneck speed... they were a blur!

I noticed her opening up one of the last crates and as soon as it was opened a six month female pup pracnced over to me and immediately sat in my lap licking my face! I was totally smitten. Needless to say, I ended up with Kelsey! She was my first titled CD dog.

I hav never looked back... Shelties for me until I leave this earth to be reunited with my past pack!
