Cancer

Thanks for sharing such good news! We are so happy for you and hoping for a speedy recovery for Jazz! Pats from us! :biggrin2:

Surgery is over and Jasmine did great. Thank you for all the good thoughts. She looks cute in her big plastic collar! Incision is about 12 inches and sore looking but she did great. Biopsy is back and cancer had not spread to any other gland or lymph nodes. All clear! :smile2:

I am now on full scale spoil Jazz alert!

Oh, I am just over the moon for you both! Now Jazz, you rest and get spoiled!

I haven’t been on this site in some time but I thought those that are facing decisions like I did may be interested in Jasmines story.

She is still with me, almost seven years since her initial surgery and chemo treatment. About 3 years ago she had another bout as it had metastasized in a lymph node but that was removed successfully but she almost didn’t survive the treatment. One dose of chemo was almost to much for her and we spent the next ten days visiting her vet for various issues. On the tenth day I came home to a lethargic pup who barely could lift her head. Rushed her to ER and she had chemo toxicity. It was a touch and go week but she survived.

She is now almost 15. She has started to have an occasional small seizure so I guess there is a tumor somewhere pressing on something but for the most part she is still the sweet pup I love. Her happy days have far exceeded her sick days so it’s all been worthwhile. I’m glad I still have her with me but I hope she will let me know when it is her time. I will just hate to loose her, can’t even imagine that day.......
