Costumes...honestely?!

We dressed Wiccan (westie) up for the Calgary Specialty. She was a riderless horse complete with western saddle, parade sash, bridle and wait for it, mane and forelock. Poor thing was put on the grooming table so many times for fittings that she must have wondered if I had lost my mind. However, the judge at the specialty couldn't believe her prancing around the ring with her tail up and asked me to send her pictures.
Other than that, I hate hallowe'en and wouldn't be buying any costumes. Christmas might be fun. I see Tinsel as a tree with tinsel on it. I don't think he does though.

Heck yeah
I love it
you can clicker train your dog enjoy, it too :D
I don't dress Toff up nearly enough but it's a hoot, and I swear I used to think I'd never do such a silly thing, but I enjoy it now... just for the giggles

My friend is going to work on designing and sewing a proper set of German style Lederhosen for Toffee, LOLLLL

I think a Sheltie soccer player would be cute :P
not that my dog would wear it, but just sayin'.....

i enjoy seeing them if they are home-made and original.... not mass produced.. I do want a set of reindeer antlers for Everett, but finding one to fit his head...

I had to get a costume last year for a dog halloween party. We were Demoing rally so I had to bring someone and Ember is my go to demo dog. I forget who Rachel brought, maybe Vogue.

We had a fun time tried the costumes on the dogs. Ember was so ticked off by anything that went on her head. Ended by with a pumpkin vest. Had I gotten anything else she would have killed me in my sleep.

We live in the BEST Halloween town. It is/just great here. I would never put Casey into a costume. He hates clothes- my little naked man. Bonnie is too shy. Annabelle LOVES to play dressup. Not sure about the puppies.

No costumes here. When the kids were little, I used to love Halloween. Purportedly it is the most decorated holiday surpassed only by Christmas.

But I just don't decorate any more.

What can I say, I like to dress up my dogs. I have a costume for each of them, though they're not nearly as extravegant as the ones in that link.

The ones I buy are pretty cheap and I tried to get them costumes that wouldn't be too annoying. I make them wear their costumes for an hour, then I take them off.

We have lots of kids in our neighborhood and lots of trick or treaters, so its fun to dress the dogs up.

Toby is super dog, Ginny is a bumble bee and Sadie's an angle. Ginny seems to be the most annoyed by his costume. Toby seems to like the attention. :smile2:

A lot of those costumes look really ridiculous to me and those dogs do not look thrilled.

I am not a fan of routinely dressing your dog up. I cringe when I see dogs wearing shirts and dresses (unless it is for medical reasons).

However, if there is a doggie event going on for Halloween I will torture Bailey by putting her in a costume for an hour . That is the only time I will dress her up.

Last Halloween I made her an "Angry Birds" costume. She looked adorable and even won most original costume.
