Dog Wheelchair

Gavin went super far this morning and for an hour! Longest walk yet :)
He was walking fast-ish for over half the way, too.
I am having problems with a member of my family and have been super stressed so I needed it.
Also, we took yesterday off, so maybe that helped.

:) Must celebrate good days like this!!!

Wonderful Gavin report. I know a good long brisk walk clears my head when I need it. Sorry you are having family issues to stress you out. Anyway, you and Gavin are the dynamic duo!!

Thanks! I need all the encouragement I can get.
This has been a long road for me and Gavin, and it doesn't take much for me to get depressed about his lame leg.
If I was going to see improvement from the wheelchair I would have seen it by now since it has been 4 months, but the heart still hopes

are you still giving him that new supplement?- I'm sure that will take a little time to see results with that.................

Its only been 2 weeks, I think 1-2 months is how long it will take if it works.
apparently they had a study of TPLO dogs and muscle atrophy just finish.
It had positive results....presented a few days ago...hopefully publication soon

I so agree! You have enough on your plate caring for Gavin! I know they say family first... However, Gavin is your family!
Glad you could clear your head an heart and focus on Gavin's positive progress!:yes:

Gavin is such a little love! Best thing I EVER did was decide to get him :)
he follows me around as much as he ever did before his leg went lame. And he loves to lay in bed with me at night for 30 minutes before he leaves for cooler dog beds. If for no other reason than he is close to me.

Just got his 3 year rabies shot, got teary as it is almost certainly his last one unless he makes it past 16.
The vet techs all loved his little cart, too.

I know a good walk helps to clear my head too (having issues with my obedience trainer...don't become friends with trainer, learnt that the hard way) and I think even a short walk helps the dog out too, they can tell so much from all the smells!
