well, my 'trash' is the recycling bin. It's not THAT good, just paper and some used food containers. although he did get some lemon square crumbs this last go round

Well Gavin doesn’t know that so to him it’s a reward to just be able to sniff it all lol!
Of course if he we’re anything like Blueberry even the cardboard is edible lol!

Gavin has been pretty perky on his morning walks lately/. might because I let him off leash? the area near the lagoon is out of the way, and its not like he goes far. But he can move! He does his little run for a few feet and surprises me

It is amazing how these little wins with Gavin make us all so happy! Glad you are having success with you core exercises! Any little bit helps! Gosh, I know I need some too!

saw another sheltie this morning. a portly 2-3 year old with a bad haircut. Not interested in Gavin AT ALL.
He had a nice day/walk. now its nap time.

So about once a month or so, it's nail and paw fur trim time. I take that time to unboot his bad foot. It gets cleaned and trimmed. He really can't feel it at all. I can poke and prod and trim his paw fur and he won't even flinch. Try that on his other paws and he does try to pull it away enough for me to know he really doesn't like it. Anyway, the evening I do that I leave him without his bootie just to let things air out. Poor guy really can barely walk without that bootie on. Even though he doesn't really use that leg, not being able to get any traction on it really messes things up for him.

His week has been pretty good overall, I'm tempted to try the beach this weekend. I know he'll love it and I need to be the bad guy to make sure he doesn't overdo it.

Fingers crossed your car holds up for a bit longer...and that you and Gavin get to have a good day at the beach today!! Mine is a 2006 Ford Focus wagon and I keep telling it that is has to be good and go for at least a few more years because every time I start saving money for a new one it ends up having to be spent on doggie vet bills...which are far more important than any new car!
