How far (in distance) did you go to get your dog?

I went to Sydney to get Deska. Which is ordinarily a 2.5hr drive each way. But instead we got stuck in a massive storm and it ended up being 6hrs there and 9hrs home! Deska didn't even care, he was happy as larry in the car with me (except when he wet the crate). Maybe that's where his fear of storms came from...

Thankfully Tully was only a 15min drive away.
 
We drove 2 and 1/2 hours for Zak both directions- we made 3 trips up to see the litter and the 3rd being the trip home.
With Maggie it was 30 minutes in both directions.
 
I was really lucky and only had a 5 minute drive to go see my Angus....here in town! When I first started thinking to get a sheltie it wasn't planned that way but then when he came about and I train with his breeder and know his momma... just worked out perfectly
 
We went to Houston to get Snow...about six hours one way.
Sunny came from north Louisiana...about 3 hours one way.
 
2 were 2hrs each way, 1 was about 6hrs each way and the puppy was shipped with the airport being a little over an hour away.
 
Drove 4 hours to Maine, stayed overnight & then drove to the breeder where I picked out my Nicky :smile2: I held him the whole way home!
