Kip hurt his toe!!!

Some people just think all dogs are boys, or girls, I don't get it either. Most people who know us still call Elijah a girl just because we've always had all girls, and I think he definitely looks like a boy. Glad to hear Kip is not limping and hopefully the vet can put your mind at rest and he'll be back to agility soon.
 
I wonder too if it's because the boys have such a bigger mane and thicker coat people assume it's female? The human race is pretty much the only one in which females are prettier than the males. Even in birds it's the male that's more colourful.
 
I was just talking to my parents about Kip’s toe, and my father (who has a PhD...) said, “I didn’t know dogs had toes. I thought they just had claws coming out of their feet”. :ROFLMAO: What?!!? I couldn’t believe he was serious, but he was. He is not a dog person, but he loves Kip, and even lets Kip call him “Bobo”
 
Kip had his vet appointment yesterday. The vet said his toe looks good and the swelling is way down. He said we should do at least one more week of restricted exercise. But here’s the great part: We can start going on walks again!! Yay!!! On leash of course, or Kip would be running full speed.

We’ll slowly lengthen the walks over the next 2 weeks, then hopefully he’ll be as good as new :fl
 
It’s been 7 weeks since Kip strained his toe, and we will both be very happy to leave this chapter of our lives behind!!

She has saved my sanity:) She said that it would probably be 8 weeks until his toe was 100%, so we’re almost there. Everyday I’m allowed to increase his walks by 2 to 3 minutes. We’re up to 2, 35 minutes walks per day that also includes 10 minutes of off leash running/trotting. Kip is much happier!!!

We’re also doing a little bit of easy agility ground work stuff, and can do more soon! And some playing! Yay! Fingers crossed his toe will be back to normal soon.

The physical therapist watched videos of Kip walking and trotting and says she cannot detect any limp at all. He is striding nicely.
