Thanks, Trini! I am a wreck! My emotions are shot! I just want my boy better...
He moved into the kitchen. I went up to pat him and he looked up at me with the saddest eyes and laid his head back down. Too heartbreaking...

It is pitiful and pathetic, and it makes our hearts ache when they are ill and sad-eyed. But yes, his illness is treatable and he will be better soon. Try and get some rest yourself, Gloria. It's draining to be on high alert all the time.

It is so heartbreaking when they don't understand why they feel so sick. Yesterday morning he was happy and alert... then to this... I want so much to comfort him but don't want to disturb him as he needs rest! Yep, me too!

So I guess the Lepto diagnosis was incorrect or is he suffering both? I never went for the Lepto vaccine with my doxies as they are sensitive, but we do have a large lepto issue in CT and lots of wildlife, a dog who loves the outdoors, well, both my sheltie boys get Lepto!

Once he is feeling better, Nature's Farmacy does have a GREAT probiotic, it's a powder but my puppers do just fine sprinkled on food. I actually use their Complete which includes 3 of their top products in 1.

Please give Liam a kiss from us - we hope he is on the mend quickly. Please keep us posted!

Correct, I miss-understood the doctor. He said they were testing for Lepto!

Good news that he ate two tablespoons of soft food and a few of his kibbles. He is resting again. Got some meds in him too! I am just glad he ate something! Hope for better news in the morning!
 
Unless they gave you something like Hills Canine ID at the vet, I wouldn't even feed him soft food right now. I'd do chicken and rice, or turkey and rice...something really bland until his stomach is settled. Then you can add in some soft food. Some plain white rice with baby food from the little jars mixed in is great to start with for these issues. And water only gradually, as you know until he settles.
