Merled Eyes?

I have one of each kind - a sheltie with tipped ears (I did a bad job of it, but what the hey 
), and one with pointy ears. Ear tipping is not all of the drama some people make it out to be. If you've never attempted it I could understand the confusion. Jennifer helped me do it (she gave me an unused roll of japanese tape for 5 bucks!). When she showed me how I was like...really? This is it? What's all the drama about it?! It's not that bad.
Smudge has red "brown" eyes. They can be pretty intense. It kind of freaks me out sometimes when he stares at me for too long. I had to go look at some of my pictures I had uploaded onto other sites for a good picture of them. Hard drvie died on the old computer, and so most of my older "good" pictures are gone. :sadsmile:
Oddly enough when Smudge was a puppy his red eyes did not show up in pictures. It might have been because when he was younger I had a bad camera though. I still use that camera for videos.

I've tried to get tipped ears on Pixie, but she started to react to the "mass" that I used. I have little interest in dogshows, so I decided to let she have her natural ears. When you train obidience or do agility, it doesn't really matter how the ears are 
Smudge was really pretty! Pixie has dark eyes and the blue spots was really hard to see, from the beginning I thought that it was the sky that reflected in her eye

My Abigail has a blue fleck in one eye. She is a merle, but also piebald or CHW (varies by person you ask), so I wasn't 100% sure that the grey was merling or just white threading until I saw the blue fleck in her eye.

No, no! That wasn't what I meant. There isn't any need to have tipped ears unless you want them, hence the reason I have one dog with tipped ears and one without.
I like dog shows.
Fluffy, my other sheltie who is a tri, sometimes has brown eyes in pictures, but they aren't really that way. I don't know why my camera does that. They also don't really show the intensity of Smudge's eyes.

My new sheltie both his eyes are a striking blue.

Our Dandie has a merle spot in one of her eyes. It looks funny sometimes. People think that she is blind, has an injury, or it getting cataracts (at the ripe old age of 1 ). We love it.....because it is part of Dandie and that makes it perfect

We love it.....because it is part of Dandie and that makes it perfect My Molly has blue merle in her bloodline but you could never tell because she is blonde and white with one brown eye and one blue eye. That is the only distinct identity to the blue merle except her family tree but she is just as special as Max whom is full sable and white with the brown eyes.
