Monty is coughing/choking almost none stop

He's doing good today and is getting stronger by the day, he even made it down the stairs this morning!

We had a bit of a fail last night when he was sleeping. When he sleeps he sounds a little like a broken bagpipe, but when he was laying sleeping he just went silent. I thought he'd stopped breathing so grabbed him........he woke up......then he started making the noise again. He was finally sleeping soundly and I woke him up :rolleyes2::rolleyes2: Next time just look at his chest lol.

Well, good news all in all. I certainly would have reacted the same Darren knowing he is still in recovery mode! Good idea to look at his chest next! Hard to think clearly when you guys have been through so much! Hoping each day from now on shows positive progress! Hugs to you both!

So glad to wake up to this news this morning! Every day will be a bit better and soon Monty will be himself again. I've done the same thing when one is sick, Darren...scared both me and the dog to death waking them up to make sure they're breathing LOL. It's not just you. Enjoy your little guy and give him a pat for me.

Good news Darren! Lol I've woken my guys up when they were sick too, plus you've had such a rough week! It's not surprising that you'd try to wake him when he's quiet.
Little Monty doesn't need to go to the vet today so he can get back into his normal daily routines! What a week you guys have had!

I gosh, your heart must have skipped a beat. Nights are tough. Hope you're managing some catch up sleep during the day!

I wake up several times to check if Tully is breathing, for the last couple of months she's been breathing heavily when she sleeps, but that has suddenly gotten better - so I guess it was the illness. But of course the quiet breathing is worse! Also doesn't help she sleeps with her eyes open.
