Need Prayers Please

Oh I feel so sad. I am so sorry you are going through this right now. She is such a beautiful dog. I had to make that decision just last June and it tore my heart out. My prayers are with you both.

Oh Shaun, My heart aches for you

I know that decission is not an easy one to make. You have to think of what's best for her right now, it's a heart wrenching choice I know.:cry:I'm crying just remembering when I also had to make those choices. But if poor Zoe is in this much discomfort you must choose to end her misery. God be with you Shaun. Please know that my heartfelt prayers and my thoughts are with you. Sheltie hugs to Zoe , your a brave girl and you know your MOmmy, daddy and Sheltie buddies love you.

Shaun, I am at such a loss for words, I can't begin to imagine what you are giong through. Please know, my prayers are with you, your family and little Zoe. Everything is in God's time.

I am SO sorry to hear that. It takes a lot of strength to make that kind of a decision. I asked my vet once, "How do you know when it's time?" And she said, "when your animal is not happy at home." I had to go through this one year ago and it has a heart-wrenching thing. My heart goes out to you and your family and Zoe. I wish there was anything I or anyone else could say to ease the pain. I am so, so sorry.

It's one of the hardest decisions you'll ever have to make. I had two 18 year old cats who got sick within 1 year of each other - both with thyroid disease. I had to put them both to sleep because they were in such bad shape, it was worse seing them suffer.

I was with them when they went. It was hard to be there, but the best as well. They both "fell asleep" in my arms.

OK - now I'm crying! My heart goes out to you.

My heart breaks for you, Shaun. Many of us know what you are going through and there is no easy way to deal with it. Please know that we are all here for you and Zoe and you will have our prayers and comfort. Hugs and love~

Oh Shaun...my heart is truly in pain to read this. I know the pain that comes with making this decision. My little Fancee could have been Zoes sister and I know the pain I still feel today when I think of her. I got this poem from a dear friend when I had to make this decision too.

Dear Lord bless that sweeet tiny angel and to you elaine for giving her such a wonderful life

From Friend to Friend
You're giving me a special gift,
So sorrowfully endowed,
And through these last few cherished days,
Your courage makes me proud.

But really, love is knowing
When your best friend is in pain,
And understanding earthly acts
Will only be in vain.

So looking deep into your eyes,
Beyond, into your soul,
I see in you the magic, that will
Once more make me whole.

The strength that you possess,
Is why I look to you today,
To do this thing that must be done,
For it's the only way.

That strength is why I've followed you,
And chose you as my friend,
And why I've loved you all these years...
My partner 'til the end.

Please, understand just what this gift,
You're giving, means to me,
It gives me back the strength I've lost,
And all my dignity.

You take a stand on my behalf,
For that is what friends do.
And know that what you do is right,
For I believe it too.

So one last time, I breathe your scent,
And through your hand I feel,
The courage that's within you,
To now grant me this appeal.

Cut the leash that holds me here,
Dear friend, and let me run,
Once more a strong and steady dog,
My pain and struggle done.

And don't despair my passing,
For I won't be far away,
Forever here, within your heart,
And memory I'll stay.

I'll be there watching over you,
Your ever faithful friend,
And in your memories I'll run,
...a young dog once again.

I am so sorry to hear about Zoe. It is very hard I know, we had to put our dear Mollie to sleep. My husband had to carry her into the vet's office as I was too upset to go in. I feel for you both. Tears are now falling I will pray for you all.

I'm so sorry. I remember having to make this decision for my Malamute and even though we knew it was right it really didn't make it easy. We stayed with her through the entire ordeal and our vet, bless her, gave us all the time we needed to just sit with her and say our farewells both before and after the shots were issued. We are also facing this decision with our Finish Spitz (who turned 17 on New Year's Eve) and knowing that it is months and not years makes each day with her more special.

Zoe's an incredibly lucky little pup to have you and your husband to love and care for her throughout this hardship.

I'm going to go take care of these tears now. :(

Good news, let hope Zoe keeps on improving.
We still got our paws praying to St. Francis,
looking forward to hearing what the Vet tells you on Friday.
God Bless
Sylvia & our 4 shelties.
