Oh no, Cricket needs gallbladder surgery

[Ron Atkinson]

I read on their Facebook page today that Cricket has her surgery scheduled for the 19th of this month.

They also started a Go Fund Me account and her surgery is fully funded!

Holy cow that's an expensive surgery!

No kidding! Once they have already have an attack the surgery becomes more difficult!
At least that is what the ultrasound doctor told me.

That's just one reason I keep an emergency fund for Teddy. He is worth every penny.

Both of my girls' gallbladder surgeries were $3500 more than 3 years ago, and they were planned and not emergencies. If it's an emergency or there are complications, the cost runs between $6000 and $8000, sometimes more depending on your area of the country.

I hope everything went well today and Cricket is soon home recovering. Thank you for keeping us updated.

I was thinking about Cricket today remembering it was surgery day. All fingers and paws crossed here that it went smoothly and she will be home with her family tomorrow. Thanks Gloria for the update!

I saw an update on Facebook this morning - she made it through her surgery and was doing well!
