Well i have been reading the threads on diseases and illness in our lovely shelties and it just broke my heart to read that so many of us have suffered a scary illness with our pups i thought i would try and lighten the mood a bit, so here is my story:
It's summer and almost too hot to go outside, very humid, sticky and yucky, so i had a brilliant idea that i was tired of white walls in my kitchen, in the 2 bedrooms, the hallway and the living room, way too much white so i decided to paint! I finished the hall way and kitchen in 2 days, sleepless nights of course. Then came the dreaded living room, heres the good part, i had the 2 cats locked in my room for the majority of the painting time, and Riley either outside or in my parents house but i decided why not let the cats out they will be fine the paint is dry enough, then i walk over grab Riley to go outside and he runs over to my house os i think well he wants to go home why not i'll grab dinner with mom and dad then go home and finish the job. Well after a 20 minute dinner i go home and first thing i notice... footprints both big and small all over the hardwood.. uh oh. I turn the corner and i see Riley sitting on the floor just looking up at me as if to say, "you mean i wasn't suppose to play in the paint you carelessly left out?" Well what a mess but i had to laugh because all you see is a trail of footprints leading from the tray of paint to everywhere else, would have been cute to leave them, but i decided against it
All was well i got it cleaned up as for Riley and the kittes there paws are a little more colorful than before and Riley had one ear with a paint spot on it, it's almost out now though, haha such a shame it was a good look for him

Great idea!!!
My mom was so mad. My brother and the dog survived(barely after my mom was though with them), the carpet was not as lucky.
