Pancreatitis...

What a joyous relief to hear Laddie is home and eating. I think all our Shelties just don't do well when they are separated from their families. I'm sure you are ALL exhausted. Hugs to you both and hopefully everything is on the mend now.
 
That is such great news.

Love the photo - he has a little smile on his face, no doubt dreaming wonderful thoughts about being home.
 
Had a wonderful nights sleep and so did Laddie! Had salmon and broccoli for dinner. Laddie had his boiled chicken and rice.

I want to personally thank everyone for their kind words, thoughts, and prayers! My boys are honored that so many cared about their well being...

What I'm trying to tell you is to not be paranoid. Follow the prescribed diet to a "T", but realize that it may not have been anything you did.

Rachael, I am so sorry to hear you lost Liesl to this. I guess Laddie has always been predisposed to this as well. I will follow the vets instructions as you advise.

Gloria, I don't know how I missed this thread until now...and am so sorry you went through all this with your boys...but incredibly thankful to read that all has ended well and both Laddie and Chance are home and well.

Its not easy, I have my Lucky with problems at 14 and Lil' Lady had hers.

They are so fortunate to have you!
 
Glad he is home and on the mend. What a relief for you! My Hamish was in the hospital for a week - I had a great vet that my Dad had done some carpentry work in his clinic and his home for him. I was treated more than fair by him. But he also had a rep in town ow being like that.

You'll be really careful, I know, now to watch the food. But with some, it just is as Rachael says. You can't pinpoint a cause. And if you can't pinpoint a cause, you can't avoid it. It is a disease our dogs can get and we deal with it as we best can.

Again, so glad he is home.
