Poor Liam!!!

Wow - poor baby!!! Hope the recommendations are working for him!

Thanks Sandy! I have been up for about a 45 minutes and so far he has not gone after his feet! He does d scratch at his face a bit. Wondering if his eyes might be bothering him. Going to give him eye drops after my morning cup of coffee!
His nose is still raw looking. Going to try to treat that area with the diluted mixture with a Q-tip!

He is playful this morning! That is a good sign to me!

Should I just keep to one 25mg Benadryl pill a day? If yes, should I break it in half and give 2x a day if that would help to manage it until Monday?

You can give Benadryl 2-3 times a day (the 25 mg pill) but I'd keep it to twice, morning and evening, if you can.

I hope he's doing better today!

I had a horrible allergic reaction after a trip to Ireland years ago - my skin was so itchy, from scalp to toes - if i barely scraped my skin it would welt up and turn red. Had to be on Claritin and benedryl for almost a YEAR before it cleared up. Doc said it was definitely an allergy, although usually I sneeze etc. Never happened again but boy was I miserable for a while!

Hope Liam feels better soon, and the remedies are helping.

That sounds just awful Sharon!
Glad you never had to go through that again! How utterly miserable that must have been!

I feel so good that I have been able to help him at home before his Monday appointment! I am sure he would have been so much worse had I done nothing!

Thanks all for the moral support and medical guidance! Liam says paws up to you all!!!

So glad he's able to get some rest and that your there for him when he needs a foot bath. I'm sure that'll made a big big difference by the time Monday comes! Liam looks comfortable. How's his snout, any better?

Well, we went to the vet today on Liam's allergy issues...

As I was in the waiting room... 4 other dogs were there for the very same issue! Go figure. The vet tech said sine it has been so rainy and wet with high humidity the mold and other spores are really bad this time of year.

He is on Apoquel 16 mg - He gets 1/2 pill 2x a day. He has not gone after his feet at all since I gave him the pill. Nor has he started to scratch his face/eyes. The Dr told me it works in 24 hours... more like 6 or 8! I am so relieved that he is feeling better. He was a basket case at the vet!

:hide Diving under the chair every chance he got!!!!!!!!!

Poor Liam! I have mold allergies as well so do sympathize. My biggest issue is in the Fall as the leaves fall from the trees and breakdown - so keep an eye on him then as well if it is a mold allergy.
