Puppy Mills list

Well, I finally did respond to her tonight.

Reminded her about what's involved in whelping and raising pups, and what will she do with the "extras".

I doubt she'll listen, but you have to try. :(

Hope springs eternal  I did that with that lady who wanted to breed her female purely for convenience, and she complained to me about how $200 was too much for a spay. So I asked if she was financially and otherwise prepared for required vet vists with mom, if she had an emergency vet on call in case mom had trouble delivering her pups, if she was prepared should the worst happen(as in losing her female or pups), what she would do if she couldn't sell the pups right away, if she was prepared for the large costs of getting puppies their proper shots and food - all of which would no doubt amount to way more than $200. Needless to say I never got an answer

Here is the puppy broker, north of me. They gather puppies from the local millers whoops I mean UDSA professial breeders. :rolleyes2:They prices were more expensive. I'm guessing the puppies aren't moving as fast. Yeah!!http://www.amazenfarmyard.com/pages/puppies/puppies1.html

The number of sick(genetic problems and diseases) puppies I seen from this place, I can't tell you. They don't have shelties at the moment, thankfully. But look at the designer breeds.

First time I heard of them, had a client come in with a puppy they got from there less than 24 hrs before, it had parvo. Argued with a man for a half hour that my test was wrong and I was lying. Why would I lie? Nevermind the pup was vomiting and having bloody diarrhea. I finally got the guy to refund the puppy(note web site says no refunds) and what did he do when the lady took it back? Threw it back in the pen with the other puppies.

Alerted the local animal control(rural minnesota) who said. Cages were clean and dogs had shelter and food and water nothing they can do.:( The sick puppies still come. I tell anyone I can to avoid them,

So when do puppies go "on sale" like a carton of milk from the grocery store? Grrrr! I wouldn't respect the breeders that bred them simply because of the fact they can't be bothered to find a home for their puppies!

I was thinking the same thing, they all look miserable and terrified

Here is a list of all the minnesota. USDA Lincesed Brokers and USDA Breeders. Last year in minnesota, a puppy mill bill was voted down in minnesota because the wording would have limited the number females to 6(hurt small show/hobby breeders) and grandfathered in the USDA breeders(some of the worst mills in the state). Does that make sense to grandfather these guys in? Oh but it does if you consider the gov't makes money off them. Sick.

Because as long as their dwelling is clean and they have access to food and water it's not considered abusive or grounds for further investigation. That's where the problem lies. The definition of abuse needs to change to include a lot more than what's already in it. And education. LOTS of it.
