Riley, sad news

Did another walk this morning but much much slower. Walked about the same as yesterday but was clearly too much for him today:((. He wanted to keep going (plus he's too big to carry) so I'll have to figure out a happy medium.
Perhaps just down the front sidewalk to smell but a walk/day isn't in the cards I'm afraid.
 
I try every day and a half to 2 days...When we do hill walk, I have the stroller with me so no pressure on him going as certain distance...
and heat is a big no no as it tires Gavin a lot

Perhaps letting him out of the stroller to walk is a good idea, it's just that I usually have the other two with me when we do the stroller. Of course I could always put Piper and Finnie in the stroller, otherwise it'd be impossible lol.
 
So I took the dogs for a walk this morning, Riley in his stroller and after maybe 5 blocks I stopped and did a switch with the dogs. I let Riley out and got Piper and Finnie in the stroller (and yes, Calliesmom I did videotape it but unbeknownst to me at the time my finger was blocking the lense and I got a whole lot of nothing:ROFLMAO:). It actually wasn't too hard to manage the switch, fortunately Piper and Finnie listen well to me (well pretty good, had to tell Piper twice to get in and Finnie balked at first but then joined his buddy (I had to make him move as he was sitting on Piper :ROFLMAO:). After that it was easy peasy as I let Riley walk and smell every single tree...every one! Had to pull him away from a few lol. He slowly did perhaps 3/4 of a block and would've done further but I didn't want to push it so I did the switch again and Piper and Finnie were quite happy to get out lol.
Supposed to rain tomorrow (thank heavens a bit cooler weather...felt like 38C with humidity for the past week) so probably no walk.

Glad you are finding something that works! I know the challenges....Gavin refuses to walk more than around our (potty walk) block or to the post office next door. I have tried to get him down to the corner (2 blocks away) and the grassy bit so many times and he just refuses. So a stroller is the only way to get him to a green place where he will walk.

It is a bit hot here right now, so Gavin spends a decent amount of time sleeping on the bathroom floor oddly enough. The living room entryway is the same tile but no, he wants the bathroom floor! But otherwise he seems to be doing pretty well considering
