Sally is safe!!!

Sally may still be settling in and getting use to her new food and her new routine. This can really upset a pups system and may take a little time for her to get adjusted. Who knows what she was eating before and may need to settle in with her new food. So glad she is doing well and her new FB pictures today shows her great improvements over the past week. She does have a sparkle in her eye now… warms my heart.

I agree about the surgery. At Sally’s age, she would have to be in great health and condition before I would consider anesthesia for the removal of this tumor. I would have to be convinced it was life threatening.

Sally does have a twinkle in her eye in fact all three fur babies are smiling. I never heard of dogs grinding their teeth down except for strays grinding on cans they find. As far as the tumor goes well if it isn't life threatening I wouldn't worry about it right now. I think Sally needs time to get her strength back and soak in the love you give her. I love how she's looking for you now in the house. Thanks for the update.
 
I wondered if Sally is just not a morning dog. My husband gets up a 5:30am for work and feeds the dogs first thing because they spring out of bed and would bark if their b'fast was delayed. Sally gets up but quickly goes back to sleep. She sleeps pretty soundly until mid-late morning. I'm sure there was a different routine or lack of routine at the shelter. I'm pretty sure she did not eat much at the shelter because of stress. She has lost all of her undercoat. She had some of it last week but, shed it within the first 2 days. I think this is common for a stressed out starving dog. Hopefully w/ regular meals and some love and attention it will come back.

So true.... these are the best days of her entire life. She probably can't believe this dream finally came true. Soak up all the love little Sally... you've had to wait too long. Dreams do come true precious one.
 
My Danny Boy is one who rarely turns his nose up to food but if fed too early in the morning like 5:30 a.m. He gives me that you have to be kidding look and goes back to bed without touching it. I am with him. I think you are onto something here. Way too early for breakfast. Sally is so precious and your two shelties are beautiful. They look like they get along real well. I am so happy for Sally. She couldn't be in a better home.
 
Yesterday Sally came up to me and gave me kisses, then she gave my daughter kisses then she went up to Finley and gently touched her nose to his. Awwwww! She loves him too!

She's adjusted fast, which is awesome. I love the photos of her and Finley sharing the bed. Or well, him falling off the bed? Glad to hear things are going well with Sally. Is she eating again in the AM?

How sweet and how wonderful. Sally is loving on her new family. She knows she hit the jackpot finding your caring home. Her little heart must be overflowing with joy.
 
This just warms my heart. What better way for a senior gal to show she loves you and to thank you for giving her a home where she is cared for than to give kisses all around. How sweet!
