Sounds like so much positive progress! We knew girls were smarter than boys! Bet she was a hit at the pet store!

Definitely a big hit Gloria! Blueberry however didn’t like being out much...especially the masks! I put one on, went to pick her up and she pawed my face and off came the mask...she was scared and I don’t blame her, a lot to take in with new home, going out and meeting new people and then you top it off with a mask! She met my sister as well (but not the dogs...too soon) who absolutely loved her!
We’re going to stay home today..as much as I want to socialize her I think she needs to get to know us first.

yes- that's a good idea to get her used to her new home and family. masks are challenging for dogs but at least they can still see our eyes.......

She’s definitely getting used to things more so today although I would’ve liked to sleep longer than 6:15 am...I could’ve probably have ignored her but I had to get up anyway (although I didn’t have to STAY up).
After almost 2 hours of playing, eating peeing and pooping she went for a nap (on my terms lol) so I could have a bath...didn’t want a Darren incident happening !

Good call and very perceptive of you to notice her signs of distress! Better to not push her. I agree that she needs to see you as “her human and protector” prior to adding additional stressors.

Every single thing is new for her, but it sounds like she will handle it once she feels secure in belonging to you. You will have so much fun with her. I noticed you said beef jerky - I believe Chris said in her post about Beckon's Falconi syndrome that they believe jerky can be a causative factor, you might want to check on that.

Thanks Sharon I’ll check that out but pretty sure that was a store bought jerky. This is a home made beef jerky. Made from a fresh beef roast and then dried in my Excalibur dehydrator.No additives in this food. Actually no store bought except for some Charlie Bears...
This girl has no fear lol...good thing my dogs have no food issues! Last night both Piper and Finnie were enjoying a piece of lettuce when Blue went to Finnie (he quickly turned his head) so she went to Piper and stole his!

They already don’t! Especially Finnie...she just started jumping on his back with her front paws and biting his fur! He just about fell over in shock when she did it hard. I’ve tried to stop her but sometimes it’s best coming from the dog...my words had no effect lol. Plus he’s lost ALL his dog beds lol....

Thanks, ya I’m the dehydrator lady...nothing store bought lol! I actually have started questioning using peanut butter for the dogs cookies etc because apparently peanuts can have the aflatoxin as well!
I’ve read almond butter is better. Granted my guys don’t get much but I do use it in a lick mat and I figure it’s not worth the risk.
