Sheltie lost: Columbus, NJ. Need prayers.

No Heidi...yet

It has been 13 long, difficult days without Heidi. I still have not found her yet. I have had 2 calls finding her, but when I got there it was Not Heidi. These dogs were not shelties, but a ****su, and cockerspanial. I guess people don't remember what Lassie looks like.I am now working with a women who works with sheltie rescue, and her recommended Pet Detective. We have put our hundreds of fliers/posters. Talked to people in the area, newspaper classified. I have walked (feels like ) hundreds of miles looking for her. All the surrounding police, and State Police have been notified. The area Animal control has been notified. I check with them almost daily along with shelters. No Heidi. PLease keep praying!!!!! I will continue my search till I find her. I will not give up, and with your help I will continue to be hopefull. Thanks

I'll keep praying for her.

I'm not very good with words but I thought this prayer might be of some comfort.

Hear out humble prayer, O God, for our friends the animals, especially for animals who are suffering; for any who are hunted or lost or deserted or frightened or hungry; for all that must be put to sleep. We entreat for them all Thy mercy and pity, and for those who deal with them we ask a heart of compassion and gentle hands and kindly words. Make us be true friends to animals and so to share the blessing of the merciful.

How we are praying. I think of Heidi every day, praying that she comes home to you soon.
With much love,
Chris

Call the local radio and TV stations. Your determination and love for Heidi might compel one or more of them to do a story on you. More people will see and maybe that can help. I'll keep thinking.

Maybe one angle could be that all of us on Sheltie Nation could send an email, showing how our web group is supporting your search. We could all email the top local station. That could get their attention.

If you hand out more fliers, and go on TV, I just thought how others have gotten their furkid back, offer a reward with her picture. We are pulling for you and this little sheltie girl.

How could I forget, a friend of mine long time ago, lost her dog, and someone had him. When she offered up a reward, here they were at her door with her precious pet, wanting the cash first.
