actually she did stop taking treats on one of our turns and by the next time it was our turn, we were heading out the door and we almost made it- one more step and it all would have been outside not counting what landed on my shoe:gaah:ick

Reminds me to go in and add a few more Australian Shelties. And I noticed the chart in KG doesn't include the smaller dogs, better change that as in Australia there's as many undersize than oversized.

Hi Caro, since you are the owner of the spreadsheet and so many of us have given updated numbers, do you manage the updates in the spreadsheet? FYI, Baron is 8 and Liam is 2.5! Let me know! Thanks, G
 
Just about to head off to bed, but will get onto it tomorrow. I had it on open access but had to close it off after I kept getting requests for full access from random people who were not members and never added to it - then I'd have to go through and make sure nothing was deleted.

I can update anything people want to add. Whenever there is a thread like this I do go through and add things, except when people say their dog is too fat (unless they ask).

Slow and steady as she goes!
I knocked 2 oz total off their daily intake (I feed raw, so cups mean nothing LOL) and factored in the daily lunch treat ball and evening chewy sticks. I just didn't want them to suddenly feel like they were starving. (Heck they're shelties, they think they are always starving!)
Hardest part sometimes is stopping well meaning friends from treating or sneaking food.
 
I'm seriously looking for a good used treadmill for myself and the dogs. You have no idea how hard it is to motivate myself to take the dogs for a walk when it's -15 and colder (add in windchill lol). Piper definitely needs to lose weight and I've had him in a treadmill before and he does good. I'm thinking I'll be able to get both of us (and Finnie too) in better shape. Hopefully they don't like it so much they push me off lol.
