Surgery for Ellie Tomorrow

She is drinking very well and has a hearty appetitie. When she loses her appetitie, it will be a bad, bad sign since she was, at one time, eating dinner when her insides literally fell out of her and she didn't miss a bite (during the recovery from the spay from hell).

I always give the meds with her breakfast and her dinner. She has had the Clavamox before with no problems and at the time of the diarrhea she has not had any other meds yet, so when I spoke to the vet this morning, he said that it must be the effect of the anesthesia.

She seems so much better today! It makes my heart happy. She sleeps good with the pain pills and the confusion seems to be gone. She is not wary of Richard anymore and sleeps on his feet.

She is really good about wearing her donut. When she was a pup and had the spay, she hated the donut and fought it constantly, but she is much more complacent now, thank Heavens.

Ellis doing better and better, bit by bit. She rests comfortably and loves her hot-dog pills. She is all wags and smiles when she is awake and I haven't heard any heart-wrenching groans/moans/whines since this morning, so I pray we are past that.

I am breathing big sighs of relief. She is doing great now. Keeping fingers crossed! :fl
 
Lahree, I am so sorry to hear Ellie needed surgery. Thank heavens she came through with flying colors. We'll keep you both - -and your DH - in our prayers.
