Trying to choose a breed, help please

I agree with trini, Shilah has a lot of "sheltie" in her.....sheltie eyes and smile, as well.

She does look very, very sweet and, also, looks like a happy, friendly, girl.

Great thing that she can retrieve a ball....fun times.

Enjoy reading your updates on her. Thanks for sharing them with us.

ps She is a very beautiful girl.

Thank you! This is a wonderful community and I'm so happy to be a part of it and share our journey with you guys! Is it bad I secretly hope she chooses me as her "person" ? Haha :biggrin2:

Nope! And to ensure that happens.. make sure you're the one who feeds her. I think 99% of Shelties are foodies. :biggrin2::wink2:

Yup...although that loyalty can be fleeting. Mine attach themselves to whoever in the family has food...and the split second that person puts the last piece of food into his/her mouth there is a literal tidal wave of shelties racing toward the next person IF they have any food left on their plate! LOL So much for loyalty...except loyalty to food.

It is so fun reading posts from someone who is so excited about becoming a new sheltie owner. This is going to be one lucky doggie.

Thank you! I can't wait to have a furry companion it's been far too long! Not to much of an update but my husband wasn't able to do to much work on the fence yesterday we had a little delay so that was a little bummer. Though he decided the planks should be stained so he got that done at least.

I have bowls set out already and getting my toddler use to them/not play with them and space setup for her bed in our room. The foster parents said she likes to sleep on fuzzy blankets at the foot of their bed which is perfect because we have tons of fuzzy blankets haha.

I also have the food I decided on feeding Fromm so hopefully she will do well on that, I was going to use TOTW but then found out they were having issues/got bought out (can't remember exactly now) so decided to go with Fromm Gold instead. I just need to buy an air tight food vault to store it in so it stays fresh, I have one picked out on chewy.com just need to order it.

The fuzzy blanket thing is hilarious to me because all my girls have sought out anything soft to lay on. My 1st sheltie got possessive of a sheepskin we got for our baby. She chewed off a piece of it-ugh, and slept with it, crazy dog, but I think she felt slighted that she didn't get one and the baby did...anything fleecy has feud potential, my girls have always staked their claim on fleecewear:winkgrin:
