Tully's not doing well

Good morning, Caro and Tully!

Dear St. Francis, We can tell you are watching over Tully. She ate some and even barked. Thank you for your kindness, and grateful thanks to the Good Shepherd, Who watches over all. Please continue to hold Cro and Tully close as they weather the upcoming surgery.
In His name we ask,
Amen
Thank you for another beautiful prayer, Chris.
Tully already had her surgery on Tuesday. See previous post on page 26.

Beautiful Chris!
I hope Tully is still improving a little Caro, we're still keeping you both in our thoughts over here :hugs

She's been pretty good in the morning, but tends to withdraw to the bedroom after breakfast - not sure if it's the eating or the crazy puppy that makes her need to sleep. More little barks this morning, mainly because Kismet was being crazy and ended up jumping on her - after some growls and nips Tully had to retreat again. Yesterday was a beautiful day so I took Tully in the stroller and Kismet to the little park a few houses. Tully had a litter potter and wanted to keep walking! Afterwards she slept for most of the day but I think it was worth getting out in the sun.

Also good news is despite not being on her steroids her poops are staying good and nausea is there but being managed. It's going to be weeks before she can go back on an immunosupressant again for her enteropathy (IBD). No biopsy results yet (maybe it's delayed because of Covid testing). But no sign of infection or internal issues.

Tully has lost more weight so I need to get weight on her without upsetting her stomach, She's so tiny now - specialist Intern said Tully's got no tummy it's so skinny. At least she's eating normally now, I've slightly increased the protein (fish) to see if that helps. Unfortunately she has been restless during the night so I think I need to put her back on the Gabapentin overnight. I guess it's like humans where we feel worse in the wee hours of the morning.

OT but the Intern says puppy has parrot mouth! my poor cute little dork with an overbite, guess we won't be showing now.

Happy to hear Tully continues to improve! I know myself I have wayyyy more energy in the morning than later in the day (that's why I walk the dogs in the morning lol).
I agree with giving her the gabapentin at night, must be hard for Tully and dogs don't understand pain as we do. Continued prayers and a big hug for you Caro, you've got a lot going on there!:hugs
Sorry about Kismet, is this something that could change as she matures?

And then Kismet - gosh. I'm sure you are not happy to have her be unqualified to show. She's such a beautiful little girl. I'm sorry! :(

Kismet is 8mths old and I actually have no idea when the noses stop growing. I wonder if the overbite was the reason those puppy incisors didn't come out by themselves. Breeder is very apologetic but it is disappointing. I'm at my legal limit for dogs so won't be able to get another one to show. Of course I won't sell her on to a pet home, which is what usually happens when a dog can't be shown. Now if she stopped letting her tongue hang out through the gap she wouldn't look like such a dork!
