University of Georgia for diagnostic testing

Oh, I am so so sorry. I wish this wasn't happening. We received a similar diagnosis/prognosis for our little Cocker, also from a big specialty hospital. We had hope, and then we didn't.

If it helps... here's what helped us: we immediately shifted our focus to providing the best palliative care we possibly could. We covered pain control, nutrition, emotional support (for Justus and for you), etc. If we thought it would help her feel good, we tried it; if it helped her feel good, we kept doing it.

We are here for you.:hugs

Yes...with Riley it was about making him comfortable and happy.
Take it one day at a time and try not to think of tomorrow...love him everyday...I tried not to cry too much around him as he didn't understand and I wanted his last days to be happy...it wasn't an easy thing to do...
I agree...we are all here for you, any time you need to talk or vent or cry...
:hugs

I also am just gutted that Justus has limited time with you! I just hope and pray your remaining days, although difficult, will let you have the needed time to love, cherish, and provide the meds and care he needs. Nothing is so heart wrenching than what you are going through now. We all wish you comfort and offer up compassion for any time you need us! Gentle hugs to you both.
