Wait... what? Puppy?

She really is fluffy, I think more so than Meadow was but it's hard to remember. Her mom has an ENORMOUS coat, so we'll see. Of course she will get spayed so that might make a difference.
Elijah seems like he's getting better, like in that photo, but then today he snapped at her twice. I really think becoming the "senior" dog in the pack has affected him. They both looked to Faith. He's super sensitive and timid about somethings, so not a natural leader. But, my very sweetest boy and a cuddle bug.

Brodie is my stinker... if he's not kept outside for the long 'I need to find a perfect spot' routine he will opt to poo in the house, always in the same spot. Deacon is too much of a snob to stoop to such a gross thing!

Brodie's routine for pee includes 3 turns to the right here... nope let's try 3 turns to the right over her.. nope! let's run to this new spot in the yard... 3 turns to the right, nope! This goes on and on until he finds a spot, squats like a girl, then lifts his left leg towards the end. Poo is easier if I haven't picked it up, he will run back and forth until he literally is forced by his body to squat to poop - always facing away from me because he doesn't want anyone to look at him while he poos.

With winter maybe approaching, I've taken to giving Deacon a treat right when he goes, then NOT treating Brodie but telling him 'quick, quick' to see if I can get some urgency into him to finish so we can go back in. Deacon, unlike Brodie, will immediately squat a force a drip out every single time if it means getting even a crumb of a treat.
Their routines can be quite funny! If I’ve just taken them out for a quick pee Piper is quick to go (usually supper time)…however if the other two haven’t gone yet and I’m saying go pee…go pee…Piper (who has gone pee already) will take it that I want him to go poo and like Deacon will force a poop out just to get his meal:ROFLMAO:. They’ll do almost anything for food lol

It’s interesting to see the pack order change both when you lose a dog and when you get another. Riley was the leader and when he passed Piper took control. When Blueberry came Piper maintained his position but Finnie went to the bottom of the totem pole. It’s funny though, over the last year Finnie and Blueberry’s relationship has changed. A year ago Blueberry was closest to Piper, now her and Finnie play together so incredibly well! She really doesn’t play with Piper anymore but he does step in occasionally or will try to assert himself at times. His surgery had nothing to do with this as it changed well before that happened. Finnie and Blueberry take turns with one of them laying and being passive the other dog the aggressor, then they switch. It really warms my heart to see how well they get along now. I’m thinking it’s an age thing, Finnie is closer in age to Blueberry now and Piper is getting to be an old man (relatively) at least in terms of slowing down.

She was 10 weeks old on Friday. She does not mind being held and will give kisses but she's WAY too busy to do much snuggling. PLAY, PLAY and more PLAY is what she's interested in. She is developing a good recall already though which I'm pleased about.
