Well, put her in the pen briefly and went into another room. Couple minutes later I hear scramble scramble and as I'm hurrying down the hall I hear a big YELP and then here she is coming down the hallway. She climbed out and must have jumped down and splatted.

So no more Xpen which really is a pain! She must go into the enclosed crate if we're leaving her. She also figured out quickly how to topple the small wooden foldable gate that we placed across the hallway, low enough for us to step over. So now a walk through gate is arriving today.
We were loaned a puppy/small dog sling and I loaded her into that and took her to a local holiday crafts fair. She did great with everyone, so friendly, confident, happy. But towards the end I guess getting jiggled in the bag made her nauseous and she barfed up a bit of her breakfast onto my sleeve. Poor baby, she was drooling, which I haven't seen her do. She does not get car sick at all.
Elijah is still miffed but thawing slowly. Meadow is more tolerant but will only play briefly which surprises me. She seems downhearted a bit to me. Trying of course to give the older dogs the same amount of attention but a lot of work goes into the puppy.
This was last night, peace at last.
