Wait... what? Puppy?

In the wintertime when I am freezing my arse off, I will still use a good boy treat if Teddy will do his business in a quick timely manner. The neighbors don't need to see a man the size of Santa outside only wearing his robe and slippers :)
We do that before breakfast and then bundle up for our walk after.

Juno went to our local dog friendly nursery with me yesterday and was a big hit. She will allow anyone to hold her and gives every new person a couple of kisses. She was better in the car crate; usually she's yelling the minute she goes in there. This morning she fell asleep in one of the beds and ended up in this position. So many of my Shelties have slept like this so she's continuing the tradition!

When she's really tucked into this bed she's camouflaged!!:ROFLMAO:

Well, put her in the pen briefly and went into another room. Couple minutes later I hear scramble scramble and as I'm hurrying down the hall I hear a big YELP and then here she is coming down the hallway. She climbed out and must have jumped down and splatted. :gaah So no more Xpen which really is a pain! She must go into the enclosed crate if we're leaving her. She also figured out quickly how to topple the small wooden foldable gate that we placed across the hallway, low enough for us to step over. So now a walk through gate is arriving today.

We were loaned a puppy/small dog sling and I loaded her into that and took her to a local holiday crafts fair. She did great with everyone, so friendly, confident, happy. But towards the end I guess getting jiggled in the bag made her nauseous and she barfed up a bit of her breakfast onto my sleeve. Poor baby, she was drooling, which I haven't seen her do. She does not get car sick at all.

Elijah is still miffed but thawing slowly. Meadow is more tolerant but will only play briefly which surprises me. She seems downhearted a bit to me. Trying of course to give the older dogs the same amount of attention but a lot of work goes into the puppy.

This was last night, peace at last.

Beautiful photo Sharon…it screams serenity and all of us who’ve experienced a puppy know how much that beautiful rest is needed for you to recharge your batteries! lol
I remember with Piper and Finnie, Blueberry gave them no peace so they really needed their rest as well!

Wait till the terrible twos!! What a cutie and love the picture of the dog pile on the couch. Furbuddies in a pack...very nice.
Blueberry went through a phase at 1 1/2 where she would pee in the house and with 3 dogs if you didn’t see it you don’t know which one is doing it! I swear I was cleaning up pee EVERY DAY…I was ready to scream! Then I caught her in the act…FINALLY…and was able to put a stop to that. Then the following summer again same thing…but this time it was 2 dogs…no way all the pee was from one…this time it was Blueberry (now 2 1/2) and Piper (he had a UTI)…so very frustrating but there hasnt been a repeat for over a year. I think the best thing to do is continue the random rewards even as they grow up so they don’t forget. That’s the one thing that has helped keep Blueberry (and the others) in check…she’s very smart and as much as she knows to pee outside at times I think she figures it’s just easier to go in the house. And then one does it so suddenly another dog thinks welll…..
