What are your pup's favourite toys?

We'll certainly get it on video,Brian does it better than I do.It's just a matter of making sure Brian has a decent shirt on (not always wearing a shirt) while the video is being done.

As he does it every night with him,after he gives a Earnhardt a massage.(when he is not working)
And yes Earnhardt gets a back & hip massage every night that Brian is home!
 
New Toy: Whiffle Ball and Old House

Just thought I would throw out McKinley's new most favorite toy and it entertains him now for most of the afternoon.

A whiffle ball and the uneven hardwood and tile floors in the dining room and the kitchen/foyer.

It is so funny. This ball goes flying across the floor with MMM in pursuit, seeing a wall coming towards him, he ssssssssslides with all four feet going four directions trying to stop, he bounces onto the wall, then under the dining room table, where he does this paw exercise that makes you think of boys running through the tires at football practice and then he's up and the ball is now going the other way, he runs full speed and slams into the wine rack, now the ball has rolled into the kitchen and he gallops across the tile and under the island and bbbbbbbonks into the frig knocking off the vanity kick plate at the bottom of the frig and the ball goes under the baker's rack and then he tries to crawl under and uses his paw, like a cat, to swipe it out from under the rack..............it is just so fun to watch and you just know he is having a great time.

RonandJan..that is so ironic,as we got some wiffle balls the other day for Trapp.he loves them.And just like McKinley,he slides into things,cause he just can't get control of his feet he is running so fast.

Although I do have to say,Trapp is really having a love affair with tennis balls~ And then there is Earnhardt's tail,which he finds particularly amusing to bite onto,and not let go,until Earnie lets a loud grunt,as if to say "man..get your own tail"

As soon as she see's it come out she is watching the floor. She will growl and bite at the floor trying to get the light. They are NOT just a red beam of light. They are LED lasers and as such "can" be dangerous. NEVER shine one in the eyes of anything as prolonged exposure to the retina is dangerous. That said they are low power and we are shining them on the ground not at the Sheltie so they are safe if you used with some sense. Oh and a passing glance to the dogs eyes is not dangerous since they are so low power.

Back on topic:
Sca's favorite toy is ME. He was fascinated by the purple ball of doom, then a singing mouse and still likes a green spikey squeek ball if I am in control of it, he has a wool squirrel with a fur tail that he likes and a small AKC squirrel. Unfortunately we are still working biting me and skimming stuff off of tables so last night after visiting a friends dog he spent most of the night in trouble.:(

Unless it is a HIGH POWER laser lite no harm can be done. There are certain laser lights that the government uses as pointers (100.00), but these are not available to you and I. The laser lites they sell in office supply stores, or discount stores are safer. Unless you hold the light directly into an animals eyes for an extended period of time, there will be NO HARM The lights used in lasar pens is only 650nm Like I said unless directly and intentionally aimed directly in the eyes for a length of time no hat, will be done/. This is what my vet has explained to me

Maggie does not care much for toys any more but on occasion likes to chase her tennis ball. She does still love to play in the sprinkler.

Katie had a toy a round shaped with 8 legs like a spider but it was had a leopard print that she played with all the time and would use it as her pacifier, she would go hunt it down it tired. For a year it had holes in it but she loved it so and I tried to replace it with others but they did not compare so heck with the holes, it made her happy. We buried it with her and another one of her favorties a stuffed elephant.

I mostly agree. The potential for damage is low but zero is better for my buddy so I avoid shining it on him. Also the 650nm is the wavelength thus the color. So for instance the 650 is a red laser while a green would be around 500nm.

Pointers are probably class 1 (near bottom of article) but remember that is for a HUMAN eye. Thus, I would not risk my eyes to a class 1 device and certainly not Sca's. They are fine for play but care should be taken (same as with most things, we are the caretakers of our furry pals)
 
Justice loves his tennis balls. A braided tug toy. Also stuffed kongs.

Diva's favorite is a huge stuffed sheep. Its bigger than her. She pounces on it from the futon, shakes it by the neck and rags it everywhere. She is also nuts about tennis bals, frisbees tug toys. My cat. Well there pretty much she doesn't like:rolleyes2:

Ember doesn't do toys. Never has. I'm her favorite toy. She likes playing with my feet and shoes, biting me through covers ,played tag. Spinning and jumping on me when asked.
 
Favourite Toys:

- The Dead Duck (like Ontario Shelties' chipmunk) but with the wings and duck feet, so more parts to grab, squeekers at both ends - the boys fight over it all the time
- Bacca's favourite: the ball inside the ball - The Hol-ee Roller rubber ball where I inserted a small cat ball inside (that jingles).

Yes, idea was stolen off this forum (can't remember whose idea it was but we were complaining how our pups like cat toys, but our dogs chew them to bits) It worked perfectly! He grabs it with his teeth, whips it up in the air and then chases it down the hall. Too funny to watch him playing with himself!
