Dog Wheelchair

I looked at the help me up on their website and did see it was 90$ but that was for both the front and rear harness. I have to email Canadian distributors and see if it's the same or just the rear.

Good idea Cindy to look back to see when this started with Gavin.

I don't think they sell them separately except as replacements...here's hoping you get both!
I know my webcam is supposed to be recording....it looks like it tapes in 10 minute incriminates so that is like 50 videos a day (I have it set to tape 9-6).

ok..for June 3: at 9:45 gavin was on the couch...he moved around a bit until he left at noon. then back at 1, moved around until 3 when he left. then back at 4 for an hour..
that is the recap from the screenshots of each individual 10 min video... this could take a while! June 10 looks similar...even June 17 looks similar.

June 18, yesterday, he was only up once, and he struggled to get up. today, nothing.

Well, it reinforces that is recent, and I haven't missed anything glaringly obvious.
seriously, I noticed it last Saturday with him slipping on leaves on our walk and that was the first time he was having issues....
The chair thing, I just though he wanted to be near me when I was home and not that he couldn't get on his chair :(

So I bought a second webcam for my bedroom. I will just have to cover it at night for my privacy. It is quite cool to be able to go back and look at videos, and the 10 minute clips mean I see pics of just every 20 minute and can see if Gavin is in the room or not. I bought a used one super cheap....

Gavin only came into the living room at 6PM, and did not even try to get on the couch :(
He is outside laying on my deck and has been since I got home.

I think they can just sense their limitations. It is better that he restricts himself than to put himself in a compromising situation.

Yes, I am looking at his changed behavior as a surrogate for his leg's strength.
I have him in his booties this morning now after He slipped on the wheelchair ramp on the sidewalk this morning, which is unusual as he has been having slips up inside.

last night he did come up on the bed a few times but it was tough for him. that ramp is against a wall so slipping is less scary for him.

Gavin slipped once on his walk..I must make sure he goes slow.....
He is now sleeping on the floor by the couch :( He didn't even try to get up.
I am torn..should I reposition dog beds and remove all the ramps/steps? Or would that be like giving up? I am doing exercises with him and am hoping things will improve, obviously.
The elephant in the room is that he won't get better.....

Is it possible that he possibly pulled something? Perhaps it's something simple...
It just seems so strange and so sudden, perhaps a trip to the vet is in order? Maybe some Metacam to see if it's just a pulled muscle?

I thought about that...he is walking pretty much the same as before. And I have no idea how anyone could tell what is wrong with him now that wasn't 2 weeks ago, especially since they didn't know what was wrong before. His leg is as atrophied as before, pretty much no muscle tone.
I am seeing no pain indicators from him. He is still following me all over the house, from room to room, even when I wish he wouldn't.

His rear lift harness arrived today. I will try it out as soon as I get home from work.
