Dog Wheelchair

Awesome to hear how perky he is, what a gift, even if you do lose a bit of sleep! I bet it is the cooler weather. Give thanks on Thanksgiving for your wonderful spunky senior pup!
 
He is definitely hungrier, too.
I think he has been eating some dirt (which has never been a thing before).
I have found some in his water bowl the past few days, which means is it being transferred from his mouth.
I think I might have to move from 2 meals a day, to leaving him enough for an evening snack.
 
Gavin has been very active this week..walking much more than normal. and being STUBBORN. our walks aren't good enough now, he wants to go further afield to new places! and let me tell you, dragging a limping dog away from where he wants to go IMG_7118.jpg IMG_7123.jpg IMG_7119.jpg looks like you are a mean terrible person!

sadly (or not) , Gavin is still strong enough that when he doesn't want to move, I have to really pull on the leash.
But at 9PM, when we are going around the block (and I am in my slippers) and he wants to cross the street and head over to the train station, the dog is NOT winning.

Dirt eating is a sign of nausea (can also be a sign of ulceration). It's like us reaching for a dry cracker when we're nauseous. It could be the Gabapentin is starting to cause tummy upsets. I've been through all this with Deska and then Tully. Tully gets frequent meals but also something to line her stomach. If it worsens she gets 2 things to line her stomach.

I found a hole/tunnel in the garden. I am guessing he smelled an animal. No further incidents.
