Dog Wheelchair

family stuff has been keeping me busy, and I will have to take a trip to take care of some things with my Mom...
So this video will have to last you a while! I am still trying to do 3-4 days a week of 45-60 minutes each.
This is our normal weekend jaunt, but Gavin went quit a bit further than normal. Onto the nice muddy trail.
This video is on a slight downhill, so he's moving pretty well!

Wow, he did really good...nice squishy ground lol. So nice and green there...I'm envious!
Hopefully your not gone too long...I miss seeing Gavin on your walks!

Apparently trip is off. My mom was in the ER wednesday morning, was kicked out to a rehab place yesterday late afternoon, and now is ready to go home. the thought was she would need a few days in the rehab care facility before she could go home, so I was planning to fly out for the coming weekend but she found a care giver to visit her at home and doesn't want to wait. ONly thing keeping her is medical prescriptions. I am in SF and she lives in STL so it is a a plane ride away. My brother is in town from DET to help her for this weekend and he doesn't think I am needed. Sounds like she had a miraculous recovery from her debilitating muscle spasms. Poor brother would have taken her straight home if he knew she would recover so fast. The rehab care facility is not exactly stellar (they are the place that medicare pays for rehab care so even tho my mom was paying her own way, they have no reason to be anything above meeting requirements).

Glad your mind m is OK and on the mend...

Gavin just makes me smile every time I see him sauntering around in his wheels! A rain coat too! What an exceptional life he has with you! Keep those pictures and videos coming...

Last week I ran into quite a few people..a couple told me they had tried wheels for their dogs but they dogs didn't adapt.
Gavin has adapted quite well :)

His temperament makes him a perfect candidate for the wheelchair! Every time I see him I fondly think if only I could have tried it in Mr Chance as he also had the right temperament!

Good to hear your mom is feeling well enough to leave the rehab facility and return home!
I think Gavin has adapted so well because you take the time to help him. Plus you two are so bonded he wants to please you!
Like Gloria I look forward to seeing your videos and watching Gavin, he enjoys all the little things you do for him!

That's fantastic Cindy!
Your really fortunate that you live where there's such a mild climate, don't think you'd of had this much success if you had to deal with snow! It's hard to find places to take the dogs where they can run and have fun.
I often wonder why my ancestors settled in such a godforsaken cold place and not somewhere warm lol!

Well, its my own fault for putting up a better ramp. 4X a night Gavin comes up to my bed. Its not a quiet process so I wak up every time :( Once it warms up he won't come up anymore so I guess I will bear it.
