Dog Wheelchair

Fingers and paws crossed that you have success with the brace!i know it took a bit of time to get the wheelchair perfect! The fact that Gavin is so patient and sweet will make your job easier I know!

Fingers crossed that Gavin is able to get more mobility with the brace! You two have such a wonderful bond, it's heartwarming to see Gavin enjoying life more because of the things you do for him.

You always have the perfect words Lisa! I second your perspective!

right now it is like schrodinger's cat. until i put it on, the brace has a chance of helping or not helping. Once I put it on, there is no uncertainty.this morning we have the walk where we see lots of dogs, so will try it on later today.
The brace itself is so small...it does appear well constructed IMG_5477.jpg IMG_5476.jpg

OK..so it does fit. I don't know how much of a difference I am supposed to see but he still has a limp. I will keep trying it to see if things change. He tends to swing the bad leg out more so it is actually less stable on slick flooring. He can't really sit since normally since that leg sticks out now, too. I guess that answers the question of if is is CCL

well, the limping is the same with or without the brace. However, his leg doesn't buckle if I pull out his good rear leg. Conclusion..brace seems to help stabilize the leg but does not impact his limp. sigh

So this morning we took his wheelchair and walked over the bike bridge and around. a little more than an hour. Very proud of how Gavin handled the inclines.
So we can walk to the local park, we can walk over the bike bridge....all that is left on my wish list is ocean visits :)
