He is eating and drinking water. He has had his usual two poops today, but he just has no energy. I am really concerned this might be something serious. It obviously is not a GI problem. He doesn’t seem any worse but not any better. How is Scout doing this afternoon? Any improvement?
His temp is normal. I palpated his whole body and there was no guarding.I agree with Ann on the Lyme test and definitely take his temperature. Could you palpate his tummy to see if he’s distended at all or bloated? How are his gums? Could he have pulled a muscle? I remember a couple years ago Piper had been running and jumping and next thing I know he’s walking normal but he seemed really down, didn’t want to walk much etc and temp was normal. I checked his joints doing some range of motion and it was his hind leg. Got him into the vet and some meds and he was 100% better 2 days later. Hopefully it’s something simple as that.
His poop is totally normal. Checked his butt and all clear. Is there any difference in his poop, ?A plugged up pup would also be uncomfortable
Will keep our fingers crossed until you get to see the Vet.
I don’t know what a flea comb is.That's good news, Have you tried running a flea comb to see if you find anything?
If he got bit by a tick and he is on nexguard the dead tick maybe still there Just a thought.
Thanks but don’t have one. It's a very close spaced comb that will pickup the debris from fleas that is left behind
