MISSING: Georgetown KY - FOUND SAFE!

Oh my gosh... I just got a call from a lady who saw him this morning. She said he looked terrified. I am going to go check it out. I really hope I can find him!! At least I know he's still alive.

Please keep praying that St. Francis will help him find his way home - he's sticking more to the backroads.

Oh, this is great news!

Was he still dragging his leash.

i am saying a prayer to St. Francis right now. Good luck.

He's home!!! He's home!!!!

Oh my gosh. I am still in complete and utter shock. It was nothing short of a miracle that brought him home.

First and foremost, I want to thank Cindy (Emma on here), for all of her help. She helped me search and search for him and it was nothing short of amazing.

This morning, I went out walking in the cemetery, passing out flyers to passer-by. This one lady was very nice and had a dog with her, she and I talked for a bit and I gave her a flyer. I went searching everywhere. Then, went to walmart to put up a new flyer and give some to the girlscouts.

I get a voicemail as I'm getting in the car. It was a different lady, who saw him on a road over 2 miles away (5 hours before), across a busy 4-lane intersection. It's packed nearly 24 hours a day. That's when I posted and drove off to see the road she was talking about. I called Cindy and she followed me out there.

I kept driving down the road past some subdivisions, but Cindy went down there and talked to a lady walking down the street. The lady was calling me as they spoke, to let me know they'd seen him not six minutes before!! I turned around and immediately headed back. And hiding behind a shed... There he was. I could tell he was contemplating coming back to me but he was scared. It was a pursuit down several backroads, trying to bring Emma with me, and someone brought my mom some Vienna sausages. I tossed him a piece, and finally he took it and after about 2 minutes, I was able to grab the tiny piece of a leash he had left. I started crying like crazy.

It was exactly 60 hours on the dot since he disappeared when he was spotted again. The crazy thing? The lady who I met in the cemetery was the one who saw him the last time. I just couldn't believe it.

I am so happy to have my boy home. Thank you all for your prayers... It truly is a miracle. St. Francis brought my boy home again.

Sounds like there was a lot of nice people that aided in the return of Mr Monet. Now tell him to stop that escape nonsense as just accept that he is a spoiled well cared for house dog

I do bet he is happy to be back and keeping a close eye on you.

I bet he got snagged on the leash then chewed through it. Sca decimates those and has to have a chain leash :eek2:

What a truly heart warming story....now Monet stay put do ya hear. So happy that he is home safe and sound. How is he so far?

Praise the Lord!

Now Monet, try to remember how good you have it and stick with your mom!

And thank you to Cindy--what an amazing group we have here on this forum.

What wonderful news! You said he has tags on him,...well...I think you also need to add a GPS to his collar!! lol

God willing, this little one will NEVER slip away again.

In the future when you take him out, you'll probably be using a harness, a GPS, a martingale collar, a regular collar, a regular choker, multiple leashes, a car harness, and physically carrying him! ;-0)...

I'm so relieved. I've been afraid to keep reading this board.

Thank you God!
