Thats fantastic, what a relief. Any idea what caused it or if his levels will go up again?
Caro, the Dr is not sure why. Since Leptospirosis is prevalent around here the vet felt that might be the cause. However, he has been vaccinated for it. We sent his blood work out for testing just to rule it out. Apparently, hereditary factors can be another reason. Now that he is on a Kidney diet I hope we can keep his numbers within the normal range.

This morning he ate well and had his breakfast at 5:00 and another meal 8:00. Will keep up feeding with small meals throughout the day to try and build his strength up.

I am just grateful he is back home with me and the boys!

UPDATE: Lepto test came back negative!

Gosh Gloria, was offline for a week so just now seeing this - what a huge scare! You know I went down this road with my first Sheltie Skye and then Ally. The fluids were so important - really helped flush Ally out and along with kidney diet, kept her with a good quality of life for over 6 months. One hint - give the fluids in the AM so they have a chance to pee it out over the course of the day, and not need to go all night long.

He looks much happier in the last two photos - all fingers toes and paws crossed here that you have much more time with darling sweet Logan. :hugs :fl

I have been quite unstable on SN the last long time (moving)

The first thing I see is a thread from you around Logan

I'm still in shock and feel so much with you Gloria :hugs

- Still sitting here with tears running on my cheeks, but fortunately I could read the whole thread at once and see Logan feel much better now, thank God

How I was pleased when I saw the lovely picture of Logan "Feeling much stronger!"

Gloria - I send the best wishes for Logan and many good thoughts to you :hugs
