Surgery for Ellie Tomorrow

I haven't been on here in such a long time, I am wondering if anyone even remembers us, lol.

We have been having a hard time at home. My husband, who has had problems with his retinas since the age of 13 is now blind in one eye and legally blind in another. It is untreatable, so we have been having to deal with all this issues that come along with that news.

Ellie is having surgery tomorrow for her vulvoplasty. I really dread this. It looks so bad in the photos I have seen. We have been able to keep her comfortable with periodic bouts of antibiotics, but it is just a vicious circle that won't ever end unless she gets the surgery. It is so expensive and with all the other $$ involved with my husband, we have tried to cope with Ellie without having to resort to the surgery, but, alas, it's time.

I would appreciate prayers for her and for us at home. It will be a lonely night without her tonight. :-(

Of course we remember you!

I'm so sorry your husband is losing his vision. That is awful :(

I hope everything goes well with Ellie's surgery. Bailey also struggled with urinary tract infections and has an underdeveloped vulva. Thankfully, she has been infection-free for 2 years, so as of now she doesn't need surgery.

:fl Fingers crossed for a successful surgery and easy recovery. Keep us updated!

First, we do remember you. (and I remember Miss Ellie being one of the prettiest shelties on the forum!)

You, your husband and Ellie are all on my prayer list. Prayers being sent up for all of you!

Well of course we remember you, I am so sorry to hear about your husbands vision.

I also recall you posting about the possibility of this surgery. I am praying all goes well and recovery is not too tough on Ellie.

Prayers and hugs being sent your way, I hope knowing we are all thinking about you makes tonight without her a bit easier. :hugs

You are remembered. You will be in our thoughts and prayers tomorrow. I am so sorry to hear of your husband's health issues. These are not easy to deal with at any time and now you are having to worry about sweet Ellie. Take care. Let us know as soon as you are able to how she (and both of you at home) is.

How could we forget you and precious Ellie! I'm sorry you're having such a rough time. Sending thoughts and prayers for Ellie's surgery and for your husband as well. Please let us know how Ellie does.

Thank you all so much. You made me tear up.

I will let you know as soon as I hear something tomorrow.

Lahree, I'm so sorry to hear about your husband's difficulties, and that Ellie has to have surgery. I hope that your Mother is doing better. My prayers are with you and all that you love. Hugs:hugs
