I think she ws right to hide. Kismet, little s#@!, I turned around to find her licking Tully's bowl, next thing she's out of the enclosure. A little later Kismet is back in and this time Tully is looking up in pain and there's a foot mark in the blanket covering her - Kismet jumped into the pen on top of Tully. Kismet just got her first proper scolding! I have to go to rehab for an hour tomorrow, might need to lock Kismet outside (where she'll just dig another hole

) until the dog walker comes to take her for a walk, which won't be long. I cannot trust her jumping on Tully again.
It's evening and Tully looks very uncomfortable, but not sure I want to bundle her up in the car and drive an hour return, and sit outside in the car waiting, to get a pain patch. They did say if the pain gets worse they'll give her a pain patch, really they should have just given it to her before we left.
I gave her gabapentin but I don't think it's working. I almost gave her an overdose - ER gave me the tablets for another dog that is obviously bigger, and it said to give Tully 300mg twice a day - lucky I remembered Deska only got 100mg so I rang to check. Seems there was a mix up in labelling. They were very apologetic, but sheesh, close call.
They also took her off the steroids, which is probably contributing to Tully feeling so awful - a quick steroid withdrawal can cause all manner of aches and pains. Surgeon said she needs to be off them to heal. But if I'd known about the surgery I could have tapered her slowly before hand instead of this cold turkey.
