Oh I hope, hope, hope the shelter will release little Riley to rescue!!! With so many offering to help with any medical costs he could get all the care he needs even if it is costly. Prayers that good news comes on Monday.

Unfortunately, Remy’s mom had to decline fostering as they are in the process of listing their house for sale since her husband is in the military. I will be devastated to see them go and will miss them terribly! She also said she would help financially too! Sheltie folks have the biggest and kindest hearts!

Hopefully the rescue group will have foster homes already available and open for taking a little senior. I know from my years fostering that the seniors can be hard to place and you have to be ready to be a "forever foster" when you take on a senior. But the seniors are often the most loving souls and truly a joy.
Remy's family, esp the girls, have been a big part of your life for the last couple of years and I know you will really miss them and so will your boys. Truly wonderful neighbors are to be treasured and I am sure they feel the same way about you.

Gloria I'm so sorry you are losing your wonderful neighbors, and just when they got a Sheltie puppy, too. So nice of them to offer to chip in for Riley. I'm sure the rescue folks will have options for fostering. All fingers crossed here for Riley to be released.

Just got caught up on this...a lot happened in just over a day! Your compassion amazes me Gloria and all that you managed to accomplish in such a short time! I’m so sorry to hear your neighbours are moving, they’ve helped you so much and Remy is so cute!

I believe they are moving to California where they are originally from.
