Chronic tummy problems

He is even more sick, his liver readings are 3 times worse, his gallbladder isn't functioning at all There seems to be something external blocking it. The specialist is taking the CT and if the area is not too catastrophic he will try to stent the area to release some bile. But if it's bad he has to go. The best scenario is to give me a few months.

Got to pull myself together to get to gp appointment. But I may never see my baby again. can't breathe, so broken.

He made it through surgery (to move the bile duct so it can drain) but he is riddled with cancer. He may not make it through the weekend. He was barking at the garbage truck this morning on our walk, and he wanted to go visiting, so he has definitely still got life in him. God I just wish they would let me be with him. I know my boy and hearing my voice would make all the difference, drugged up or not. If he looks like he's fading I asked they let me bring him home so he can die here. I need to get online and see if there is an in home vet service. I don't know if I did the wrong thing, but I asked them to resuscitate so I and bring him home to die.

If he does pull through they'll send him home early so he can spend his last days with me. I need him to be with me now in my arms, the one place he was always meant to be, the place he always wants to be.

The house is so quiet. Despite 2 cats and Tully, Deska was so larger than life that he just filled the home. He was always by my side and now I feel so alone.

I really need a Deska cuddle.

I wish you guys weren't all asleep when I'm up.

Sometimes I fear the separation from us can be the most traumatic in them. When Laddie has his pancreas attack and had to be at the vet for four days he would not eat! I asked the vet if I could bring a home cooked meal for him. When they brought him in and I offered the food he gobbled it up so fast I had to portion it out for him.

I really think you bringing Deska food will help! I certainly hope that the outcome of further testing gives positive hope that he will have more time with you. Hugs and prayers to you both!

Caro, I just read your recent post! Yes, please try to find a vet that can help with in home euthanasia. I decided to do it for Mr Chance and it was the best decision I ever made! My heart is just devastated for you! I just wish it did not have to happen this way! Blessings to you both and know we all care deeply for you at this critical time! Heartfelt prayers coming your way!

Oh Caro I am heartbroken reading this with tears in my eyes! I cannot imagine the pain you must be going through. I agree, you need him home with you! Deska is hurting and probably scared and he needs his momma with him. Do you have to wait or could you bring him home before the weekend is over?
I so wish there was something I could do to help you through this trying time, I'm sending you hugs and prayers that you and Deska can have a little more time together, so he can go at home with your arms around him...

What timing - last month we went to a BBQ at the local radio station and they just now posted their photos on line and this one popped up. A classic Deska pose - give me a pat and your Dorito. I didn't even see him do it (don't know who the person is).
