Gavin's radiation treatment

That paw is looking so much better...and he never did lose his nails. Good boy, Gavin, you are healing well and life will soon be back to normal for you and your Mom who has been so dedicated in her loving care of you. Kudos to both of you!!

Last nite he slept without his cone (he jumped off my bed at 2AM and I didn't put the cone on him. No issues. Today I am leaving him to have free run of the house with his smaller cone on (the bigger one would be too cumbersome). Will see what I come home to, since I know he can lick his leg if he really wants to.

I do too. If things go well, I will stop the whole cone thing. I just want to reward Gavin for being soo good for sooo long.

he has been in a cone for over 3 months :(

All is good. We had our normal welcome home routine for the first time in months (lots of happy barks, hopping up on my bed, belly rubs, and but scratches)

I broke down his large playpen and put it in the garage :wink2:
(it is one of those lightweight pop up kind)

My bedroom is back now...it was basically full of dog pens and crates for months. His dog beds are now just either in the normal size soft crate in the corner or next to my bed.

Such great news, Cindy. The skin on his leg looks like it's normal colored now too. It doesn't look inflamed to me at all. And walking on all-fours! Awesome.

Now I have to ask - how can you all open these link's with the pictures, I think I have tried everything :biggrin2:

Hmm..my shutterfly account is public....
It could be because you are not in the US, not sure.
If you really want to see them, PM me with your e-mail address and I can send then to you

You have missed a bunch of really nasty looking pictures, though :wink2:
His leg is all healed now..just pink skin..no hair obviously.

Today I left him without his cone. He just loves to sleep on his back with his legs in the air. The cone makes that hard. I think I will stop his pain meds, too. I have been tapering the Tramadol so 1/4 pill (ouch..hard to cut). Prednisone is 1/4 pill every other day. Gabapentin will be stopped, too.
