Dog Wheelchair

Well, Gavin has not been up on the couch much over the past weeks. But he hasn't acted like he wants to. Until today. He looked longingly for a bit, then He made it up on the first step, but instead of going up to the couch he jumped down. Now the bottom step is big enough for him to climb all the way up on to it, and them go up the same distance to the ottoman which is level with the couch. I know I am obsessing over nothing, and otherwise he seems happy and as active as he can be.

"He seems happy and as active as he can be." ... and that my friend is what we live for!
Each day is a blessing and a treasure...

Give that Gavin boy a hug and kiss from me! :hugs

I give him lots of luvs...and snout kisses...
I know I am lucky to have him every day. He is an amazing dog.
Even when he wakes me at 3AM jumping onto my bed! I am just so happy he can jump onto my bed :)
Its so cute watching him climb the ramp to my bed, and I know he is proud he can still do it all by himself.
At 14, every day is a blessing.

A very good day is when Gavin hangs out in the bathroom during my shower and while I am getting ready for work.
He always used to do this before he got hurt, but after he would go to his dogbed in my bedroom during the morning routine. Now, I would say he is in the bathroom with me about 75% of the mornings. He lays out on the bathroom mats, and goes in and out. It could just be he is more clingy, as in the living room he is usually by my feet or on them now (he NEVER was before, maybe on the couch a few feet away).

Gavin and I have been on a journey together for almost 14 years now.
The only constant is change, and how he is such a sweet little soul in a cute furry package.
This morning we went on a walk I had to take a quick drive to get to, but Gavin did well.
He was definitely ready to go when we finished up.
It has been so hot here, we got out early and to a place a bit cooler than where I live.
